Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Xavier Zoido hit a great ball. Jaime Pardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 12 minutes of play, Paraguay's Primitivo Escribano made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Themos Maridis was left in no man's land by his defense there! 16 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christos Papakostopoulos. Themos Maridis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jaime Pardo's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. After a defensive mix-up in MELATES F.C.'s zone, Jaime Pardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Themos Maridis came out of the goal and Jaime Pardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Paraguay fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Paraguay's Jaime Pardo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jaime Pardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute, Hector Covarrubias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

After 52 minutes, Hector Covarrubias made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. MELATES F.C.'s Themos Maridis tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in MELATES F.C.'s zone, Jaime Pardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Themos Maridis came out of the goal and Jaime Pardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Jaime Pardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hector Covarrubias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Jaime Pardo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paraguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Pardo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Themos Maridis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lakis Voulgarakis kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. A hard and well directed shot from Primitivo Escribano led 72 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. MELATES F.C.'s Themos Maridis became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 1-4. After a defensive mix-up in MELATES F.C.'s zone, Jaime Pardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Themos Maridis came out of the goal and Jaime Pardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Jaime Pardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaime Pardo in the 80thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Themos Maridis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 89 minutes into the match, MELATES F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Pardo came free, but Themos Maridis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Jaime Pardo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paraguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. Paraguay's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
