The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s Panait Hațegan did a great save. Panait Hațegan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alper Benli, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Panait Hațegan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alper Benli in the 18th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 21 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Mădălin Cangeopol came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mădălin Cangeopol, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. If Wesley Sneijder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Alper Benli came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Samuel Hall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 62nd minute, Mădălin Cangeopol left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tractorul Satulung -MM- fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. With a little luck, Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s Panait Hațegan got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Felix Montenegro hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Antonio Arias hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Antonio Arias a yellow card for diving instead. After 90 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Arias. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wesley Sneijder in the 91st minute of play. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Panait Hațegan made a huge save.
