Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Günalp Talip started the match with the kick off. Felix Luque hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Arın Biçim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dante Lacasa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dave Murray in the 14th minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Joel Gaona left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dave Murray in the 29th minute. When Lautaro Mancebo came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Mancebo couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Iron Maiden FC's Dave Murray slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dante Lacasa. That made the score 1-1 after 36 minutes of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Steve Harris hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute Günalp Talip shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st minute Dave Murray shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 63 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Luca Zorita. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Arın Biçim kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. In the last second Adalberto Nueva throw himself and got hold of the ball when Joel Gaona in the 68thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 75th minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adalberto Nueva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 76 minutes into the game, when Nicko McBrain put in a rough tackle. After 76 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Iron Maiden FC! Günalp Talip recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 83rd minute Günalp Talip shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adalberto Nueva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After a rather tough play, Iron Maiden FC's Clive Burr got a free kick in the 89th minute. 92 minutes had been played when some careless play by Iron Maiden FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. In the 93rd minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. Mexico were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Iron Maiden FC to leave the ground with a draw.
