The audience thought a goal was coming when Norbert Rakowski got free with Jacobo Nores in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Panos Chasiotis hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. When Jaime Pardo came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Paraguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Pardo couldn't finish the play. 35 minutes into the game, one of Paraguay:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 39thth minute of the game Jaime Pardo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MELATES F.C.'s Iason Plexioudas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 40th minute, Norbert Rakowski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 44 played minutes MELATES F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Kleanthis Ifantis. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jaime Pardo to strike the kick off in the second half. Iason Plexioudas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Pardo in the 70th minute of the match. When Panos Chasiotis was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 72 minutes had been played. A collision led to MELATES F.C. getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Panos Chasiotis hit a great ball. 75 minutes into the game, Hector Covarrubias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paraguay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MELATES F.C. the free kick. After 75 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Hector Covarrubias. Hector Covarrubias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Primitivo Escribano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
