Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Michal Arendarski slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 25th minute. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina got a free kick in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 32nd minute of play forced Abandon All Hope's goalkeeper Meng Yan Jing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Meng Yan Jing tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abandon All Hope's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
