In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pontus Engström made in the 35th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Valentín Carvallo. If John Hagström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sebastian Villa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mustafa Barış Çile having to interfere. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michael Alebom, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Michael Alebom notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Honduras's Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edmundo Espiga to make the kick off. When Olov Backlund fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored IFK Ribba's protests and gave Olov Backlund a yellow card for diving instead. Olov Backlund kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. The audience held their breath when Edmundo Espiga in the 54th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Mustafa Barış Çile's left hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Michael Alebom managed to get in a good position for a shot. IFK Ribba's supporters rose to their feet, but Michael Alebom was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lautaro Navarro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valentín Carvallo made in the 59th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Moises Tafalla however managed to control. When Honduras's Edmundo Espiga in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye IFK Ribba's goalie prevented a goal. Michael Alebom struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Lautaro Navarro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for IFK Ribba. Pontus Engström made in the 69th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Valentín Carvallo. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mustafa Barış Çile saved IFK Ribba from getting behind. 75 minutes into the match, IFK Ribba's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Villa came free, but Mustafa Barış Çile reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute John Hagström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Pontus Engström in the 80th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Honduras's Valentín Carvallo. Mustafa Barış Çile showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 83rd minute of the match. After 90 played minutes IFK Ribba got a freekick which was hit by Rune Lind. When Michael Alebom fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored IFK Ribba's protests and gave Michael Alebom a yellow card for diving instead. In the 93rd match minute, IFK Ribba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Alebom to maneuver through the defense. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
