After 22 played minutes Beetlejuice got a freekick which was hit by Gottfrid Tingelholm. In the 22nd minute of the match Jaime Pardo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nestor Nunes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Malte Fransson got free with Jacobo Nores in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jacobo Nores stood somewhat misplaced when Stig Matthiessen came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 29 minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Beetlejuice's Malte Fransson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jacobo Nores. That made the score 3-0 after 32 minutes of play. When Jaime Pardo came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Paraguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Pardo couldn't finish the play. Malte Fransson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Jacobo Nores when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 40 minutes into the match, Malte Fransson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jacobo Nores, 4-0. 44 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Malte Fransson. Beetlejuice's Sivert Simonsson got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stig Matthiessen made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Paraguay's Alan Campos got a free kick in the 51st minute. When Alan Campos fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paraguay's protests and gave Alan Campos a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Alan Campos hit a great ball.
