Joel Gaona was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 18th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Argyris Amanatidis sent off a good shot on target. Alberto Tafalla might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Evlogi Antonov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Tafalla ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to MpanTouLis FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Thodoris Kefaloukos hit a great ball. MpanTouLis FC's Evlogi Antonov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 27th minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stratos Tsoflidis in the 32nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 42nd minute of play forced MpanTouLis FC's goalkeeper Evlogi Antonov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Evlogi Antonov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Evlogi Antonov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 52 played minutes MpanTouLis FC got a freekick which was hit by Thodoris Kefaloukos. After a rather tough play, MpanTouLis FC's Filippos Nikiforakis got a free kick in the 67th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christos Vardis in the 69th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Luca Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Evlogi Antonov quite easily take care of the ball. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Argyris Amanatidis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot.
