But to his dismay, Julian Murillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Torgny Valrot made in the 11th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Bernt Nordlund. The corner led Vejbystrand's Sílvio Luís Faria to fire away a dangerous shot which Rolando Noboa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Vejbystrand's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but 龙挺卫 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Peru booed when Vejbystrand was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joachim Anselius didn't get a good kick on the ball. 龙挺卫 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Mina, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Vejbystrand's 龙挺卫 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 42nd minute of play. After the first half Peru were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

龙挺卫 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 59th minute of the match. Bernt Nordlund's late challenge caught a Peru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernt Nordlund helped the player get up and apologised. Bernt Nordlund kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Vejbystrand's Sonny Karlberg was substituted for Bengt-Rune Groth. Bernt Nordlund hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sílvio Luís Faria during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Vejbystrand getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Sílvio Luís Faria hit a great ball. 龙挺卫 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 65th minute of play. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moisés Queiroga in the 69th minute of the match. In the 70th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 龙挺卫 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 71 played minutes Vejbystrand got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Luís Faria. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with 龙挺卫 in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sonny Karlberg in the 75th minute of play. 龙挺卫 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After having played for 80 minutes, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Murillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sonny Karlberg in the 86th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sonny Karlberg in the 89th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Noboa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sílvio Luís Faria went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Milagros Fraga hit a great ball.
