After having played for 12 minutes, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmundo Espiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 14th minute, Espen Normann made a precise shot to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Lautaro Navarro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Odd Sørdal in the 21st minute. Bjørnar Kaasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute of the match Honduras got a corner. Guttane's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edmundo Espiga ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Edmundo Espiga got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bjørnar Kaasa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 29 minutes, Odd Sørdal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guttane and the Honduras players grew even worse after the yellow card. Odd Sørdal kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Odd Sørdal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Odd Sørdal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bjørnar Kaasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Villa, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Lautaro Navarro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Odd Sørdal went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Christer Fiskvik made the kick off in the second half. Honduras's Christian Sancho managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Snorre Lyngstad in the 55 minute of the game. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christer Fiskvik, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Through an outstanding action, after 63 minutes, Bjørnar Kaasa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The throw-in from Tore-Andre Årseth in the 68th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Honduras's Christian Sancho. The supporters of Guttane booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Navarro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 69 minutes, Sebastian Ranheim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Edmundo Espiga charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edmundo Espiga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 77 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Edmundo Espiga. 79 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Christer Fiskvik came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bjørnar Kaasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 80th minute of the match.
