Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saadettin Akboğa in the 21st minute of the match. Valerio Quintanilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Saadettin Akboğa in the 23rd minute. Julio Vera stood somewhat misplaced when Saadettin Akboğa came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 24 minute. Saadettin Akboğa in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Saadettin Akboğa was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Abdi Mehmet Kerimhan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valerio Quintanilla having to interfere.
