Tomas Illescas charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomas Illescas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A hard shot 12 in the game by Feliciano Bizen from a close distance when the talented Jonathan Ferrant managed to make a qualified save. Venezuela's players were relieved. When Feliciano Bizen, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 12 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Jonathan Ferrant was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 20th minute, Baldomiro Peio reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 1-0. After having played for 23 minutes, Feliciano Bizen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peyote's supporters crossed their fingers, but Feliciano Bizen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Venezuela's Jose Correa managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Eleuterio Fernandes in the 25 minute of the game. In the 27th minute, Tomas Illescas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. When Jeremias Gagriel came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Peyote fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeremias Gagriel couldn't finish the play. In the 36th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Mina to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 38th minute, when Peyote's Eleuterio Fernandes after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Jonathan Ferrant in Venezuela's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. The crowd rose to their feet as Eugen Văleanu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 2-1 in the 44 minute of play. When Eugen Văleanu came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Peyote fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eugen Văleanu couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Eugen Văleanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peyote fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. In the 58th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zenon Dembkowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Eugen Văleanu came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 60 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Jeremie Frimpong stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Jeremie Frimpong tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugen Văleanu in the 64th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Feliciano Bizen in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Isaias Gregory recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 73 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. If Feliciano Bizen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th match minute, Peyote was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eleuterio Fernandes to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Peyote getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Feliciano Bizen hit a great ball. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zenon Dembkowski having to make a save. 88 minutes into the game, Patricio Costa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Peyote the free kick. After 88 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. Feliciano Bizen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd minute Feliciano Bizen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliciano Bizen in the 96th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Peyote had played much better football throughout.
