Güneş Pekergin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. After 12 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Efraim Gilabert. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tabor Velazquez got free with Rolando Noboa in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jaroslaw Czysty made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 15th minute of play. When Peru's Julian Murillo in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Jaroslaw Czysty made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Güneş Pekergin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Güneş Pekergin scored 1-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rolando Noboa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Peru booed when ★ Xavi ★【№ 6】⚽ Legend was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dursun Ali Pertev didn't get a good kick on the ball. Peru's Julian Murillo got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Milagros Fraga struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Jaroslaw Czysty didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. Jaroslaw Czysty made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Luz Tejedor sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luz Tejedor got free with Jaroslaw Czysty in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Jaroslaw Czysty made a huge save. In the 75th minute, Julian Murillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jaroslaw Czysty was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelino Orlondo in the 82nd minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84thth minute of the game Julian Murillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ★ Xavi ★【№ 6】⚽ Legend's Jaroslaw Czysty was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eliseo Mina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaroslaw Czysty having to interfere. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Marcelino Orlondo might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rolando Noboa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcelino Orlondo ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcelino Orlondo ran back to his position shaking his head. Jaroslaw Czysty came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Rafael Gallo. But to his dismay, Rafael Gallo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Peru had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
