The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Isidoro Sarmiento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dylan Sarmiento kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvar Berggren, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Jakob Bruhn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 5th minute of the match. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calle Västberg in the 7th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Miguel Miralles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jakob Bruhn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 14th minute of play. Victorious Secret's Kjell-Arne Tidén managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Matthew Garrido in the 18 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 22nd minute of play forced Victorious Secret's goalkeeper Jakob Bruhn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Helge Rudqvist dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcos Cotilla, 1-0. In the 29th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jakob Bruhn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Matthew Garrido threw the ball into play from the sideline. Victorious Secret's Kjell-Arne Tidén quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Berganza to make the kick off. After 51 minutes, Felipe Ros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Panama and the Victorious Secret players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Victorious Secret booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felipe Ros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexander Håkansson's late challenge caught a Panama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Victorious Secret's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
