Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. In the 16thth minute of the game Felix Montenegro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lima Team's Francisco Infante was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Herberto Caiado in the 17th minute. Ecuador's Luis Andino got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rd minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Lima Team's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Lima Team's Francisco Infante did a great save. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anselmo Domingos in the 26th minute of the match. When Ecuador's Felix Montenegro in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lima Team's goalie prevented a goal. After 32 minutes of play, Lima Team's Jacob Barroso made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Saúl Campos charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Saúl Campos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Lima Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saúl Campos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Francisco Infante was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Francisco Infante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 40th minute of play. Francisco Infante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 43rd minute of the match. Cristian Sancho scored 1-2 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Francisco Infante, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Francisco Infante was a little too slow when Cristian Sancho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 1-3. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Infante having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Lima Team's Jacob Barroso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Francisco Infante firmly grabbed it by the left post. Francisco Infante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. With a little luck, Lima Team's Francisco Infante got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 69th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Lima Team's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Francisco Infante was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Daniel Zorita showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 76 minute of play. Horácio Sobral charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Horácio Sobral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Lima Team's Horácio Sobral got a free kick in the 81st minute. Carlos Palmeira struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lima Team. 84 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Herberto Caiado came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Horácio Sobral kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Francisco Infante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 87th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Francisco Infante narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Francisco Infante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
