Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Higinio Brion took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Higinio Brion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Isidoro Cordarryl received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but Isidoro Cordarryl slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 19th minute. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Felix Montenegro hit a great ball. Fulgencio Poz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the last second Julio Vera throw himself and got hold of the ball when Isidoro Cordarryl in the 28thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Higinio Brion. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. Severiano Henric kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Higinio Brion took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cosme Sugar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Isidoro Cordarryl made the kick off in the second half. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cosme Sugar in the 51st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cosme Sugar in the 59th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Cordarryl in the 62nd minute of the match. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great ball. When Cosme Sugar came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Carboncito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cosme Sugar couldn't finish the play. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Cordarryl in the 71st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isidoro Cordarryl in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Carboncito's Isidoro Cordarryl. But to his dismay, Isidoro Cordarryl quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Fulgencio Poz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 91 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Juan Sebastián Puig. The Carboncito players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
