Venezuela's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Manel Caballero scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Ferrant, making the score, 1-0. Fabricio Diaz made in the 19th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Zuberoa Zamora immediately put the ball in play. Sergi Urquijo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergi Urquijo having to interfere. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alex Chicote hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zuberoa Zamora in the 33rd minute of play. Zuberoa Zamora hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jon Moreira's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergi Urquijo having to interfere. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jon Moreira in the 78th minute of play. Tomas Illescas succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 81st playminute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kemen Pantoja in the 84th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Sergi Urquijo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. UD Linares were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Venezuela to leave the ground with a draw.
