Joaquin Gayoso was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Donald Luijten. 5 minutes into the match, Francisco Seco notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Biervliet's Rob Kort. Rob Kort was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Biervliet defense, Francisco Seco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rob Kort. The Biervliet fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rob Kort should have stopped the shot. In the 12thth minute of the game Francisco Seco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Biervliet's Rob Kort was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 16 minutes, Filip de Vries managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Biervliet's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filip de Vries was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Seco in the 18th minute of play forced Biervliet's goalkeeper Rob Kort to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filip de Vries charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Filip de Vries the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Biervliet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filip de Vries didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso got control of the ball when Filip de Vries tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rob Kort took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by Biervliet's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jaime Cazalla was slow to take the kick. During this time Uruguay's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Uruguay's Jorge Sainz to fire away a dangerous shot which Rob Kort despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ab van Zwam was slow to take the kick. During this time Biervliet's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Biervliet's Ab van Zwam to fire away a dangerous shot which Joaquin Gayoso despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Filip de Vries in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 62 played minutes Biervliet got a freekick which was hit by Filip de Vries. In the 63rd minute, Filip de Vries hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Camilo Franco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elco Jacobs charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elco Jacobs the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Biervliet getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Elco Jacobs hit a great ball. Mathieu Weken kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. When Francisco Seco came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Seco couldn't finish the play. Rob Kort was a little too slow when Maximiliano Escribano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 76th minute. The score was now 2-4. After a rather tough play, Biervliet's Filip de Vries got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 80th minute, Filip de Vries fired away an extremely well hit free kick, but unfortunately the ball went just outside to the right hand side of Joaquin Gayoso. After a rather tough play, Biervliet's Donald Luijten got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 83rd minute, Ab van Zwam left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Biervliet fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-4. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Henry Bakker during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Biervliet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henry Bakker didn't get a good kick on the ball. Filip de Vries's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquin Gayoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. A collision led to Biervliet getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Henry Bakker hit a great ball. The Uruguay players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
