The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 8 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Åke Jansson. A collision led to Zero Hedge getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Nils Eliasson hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Åke Jansson in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 20 minutes of play, Zero Hedge's Gottfrid Stenman made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. In the 30th minute, Patricio Costa had to leave the field with a concussion. When Nils Eliasson fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zero Hedge's protests and gave Nils Eliasson a yellow card for diving instead. Venezuela made a substitution. Roberto Ocampo replaced Patricio Costa. In the 31st match minute, Zero Hedge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nils Eliasson to maneuver through the defense. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute, Åke Jansson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 3-0. Camilo Gaos got a throw-in 39 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Tomas Illescas. 46 minutes into the match, Roberto Ocampo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wiktor Wallander. Zero Hedge's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roberto Ocampo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 53rd minute of play forced Zero Hedge's goalkeeper Wiktor Wallander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 54 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. 55 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Åke Jansson came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Zero Hedge's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Wiktor Wallander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Guillermo Mariano hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Åke Jansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. When Zero Hedge's Åke Jansson in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Åke Jansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 75 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Gottfrid Stenman came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zero Hedge were furious when Hans Nordström was red carded, 84 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 83 minutes into the game, one of Zero Hedge:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 87th minute there was a penalty for Venezuela. Tomas Illescas stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Wiktor Wallander. 4-2. Åke Jansson struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zero Hedge. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 94th minute. In the 95th minute of the match Alexander Johansson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
