Concetto Ciaccia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 21st minute of the match. Concetto Ciaccia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amedeo Cesareo went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After the first half Ecuador were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xu Guang Hong in the 50th minute of play. Concetto Ciaccia made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 53rd minute. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Felix Montes hit a great ball. Pro Victoria made a substitution. Cosimo Castellani replaced Amedeo Cesareo. Felix Montes kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cosimo Castellani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cosimo Castellani in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. It was a well-played corner which Daniel Wodaszak managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Concetto Ciaccia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Concetto Ciaccia in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cosimo Castellani in the 77th minute of play. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Concetto Ciaccia having to interfere. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 86 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pro Victoria's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Felix Montenegro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Concetto Ciaccia quite easily take care of the ball. In the 87th match minute, Pro Victoria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barnaba Konopka to maneuver through the defense. Concetto Ciaccia made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 89 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Concetto Ciaccia firmly grabbed it by the left post. 94 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Cosimo Castellani came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
