Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Fabricio Bortzaioriz made the kick off and thus started the match. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Fabricio Bortzaioriz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Aybar Yalınayak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 8 minutes into the match, Alkolik SK's Fabricio Bortzaioriz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabricio Bortzaioriz's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Fabricio Bortzaioriz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. John van der Wiel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. After 22 minutes of play, Alkolik SK's Fabricio Bortzaioriz made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! 27 minutes into the match, Alkolik SK's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Aybar Yalınayak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after Alkolik SK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. After a rather tough play, Alkolik SK's Arman Akyol got a free kick in the 33rd minute. If Fabricio Bortzaioriz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 38 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 52nd minute, Aras Görkem İpekli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If John van der Wiel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alkolik SK's Raşit Serafet was substituted for İsa Kongurtay. If Fabricio Bortzaioriz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabricio Bortzaioriz in the 74th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabricio Bortzaioriz in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 87th minute, Agustín Saelices ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aybar Yalınayak was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aybar Yalınayak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 93rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabricio Bortzaioriz in the 97th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
