A throw-in in the 23rd minute of the game was made by Fulgencio Palos with Flavio Illart as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 23rd match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Espinar to maneuver through the defense. 31 minutes into the match, Roma FC's Teofilo Tono sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lautaro Navarro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Flavio Illart during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Roma FC's Flavio Illart got a free kick in the 43rd minute. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Ivan Navarro hit a great ball. Patrick Vander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teofilo Tono stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Federico Hug hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute Patrick Vander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teofilo Tono, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Honduras booed when Roma FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Everardo Mambru didn't get a good kick on the ball. During the 61st minute of the match Flavio Illart completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Flavio Illart a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Flavio Illart kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. A hard shot by Edmundo Espiga from long distance, 63 minutes into the match, got Leandro Breyer's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Leandro Breyer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Villa, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Olin Munster kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Fulgencio Palos got a throw-in 75 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Patrick Vander. In the 77th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Navarro to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th minute of the match Olin Munster shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lautaro Navarro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sebastian Villa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Leandro Breyer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 88 minutes, Leandro Breyer successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 90 minutes into the game, Fabricio Vachon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Roma FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Honduras the free kick. Honduras's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
