Gunnar Henriksson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 3rd minute of the match. Clement Kimble kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. In the 9th minute, Milagros Cabal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Norberto Beckman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Lautaro Navarro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 16 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Eliodor Şteflea came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sebastian Villa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Gunnar Henriksson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Norberto Beckman fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Inter 1908 Milan's protests and gave Norberto Beckman a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Inter 1908 Milan getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Norberto Beckman hit a great ball. In the 25th minute, Ivan Navarro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eliodor Şteflea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 27th match minute, Inter 1908 Milan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jospeh Heller to maneuver through the defense. Edmundo Espiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gunnar Henriksson having to interfere. 29 minutes into the game, Sebastian Villa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gunnar Henriksson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mehmet Emin Yağınalp's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mehmet Emin Yağınalp helped the player get up and apologised. Mehmet Emin Yağınalp kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gunnar Henriksson was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. A wasted opportunity for Inter 1908 Milan. 45 minutes into the match, Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Norberto Beckman.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edmundo Espiga to make the kick off. Mehmet Emin Yağınalp took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Gunnar Henriksson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Villa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edmundo Espiga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gunnar Henriksson having to make a save. 65 minutes into the game, Edmundo Espiga cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Gunnar Henriksson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Norberto Beckman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Lautaro Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute Moises Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gunnar Henriksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute, Eliodor Şteflea made a precise shot to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Inter 1908 Milan's Gunnar Henriksson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Inter 1908 Milan from getting a goal against them. 84 minutes into the match, Sebastian Villa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gunnar Henriksson, 2-3.
