Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Camilo Gisbert got a free kick in the 13th minute. Ecuador's defense didn't have a chance, in the 15th minute, when Raymond Schouten scored to the left of an out of position Julio Vera, making the score, 2-0. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 盛世 高文竞 in the 20th minute of play. After 22 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ted Jansen who took care of the corner kick. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when 盛世 高文竞 tried to sneak it across the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, NFC Eagles 22's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Ciccio Tacconi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 盛世 高文竞 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Joeri Donderwinkel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ciccio Tacconi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. NFC Eagles 22's 盛世 高文竞 got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 81st minute of play forced NFC Eagles 22's goalkeeper Ciccio Tacconi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joeri Donderwinkel hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. After 90 played minutes NFC Eagles 22 got a freekick which was hit by Joeri Donderwinkel. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 盛世 高文竞 in the 92nd minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when 盛世 高文竞 came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The NFC Eagles 22 players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
