The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torbjørn Trondsen in the 3rd minute of play. Hermann Hesse came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by USA's Cassius Byrne. But to his dismay, Cassius Byrne quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 16 minutes into the match, Deportivo Popolizio FBC's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Hermann Hesse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Deportivo Popolizio FBC's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Hermann Hesse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Deportivo Popolizio FBC were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after USA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cris Ronaldo took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Geir Søfteland managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Marco Day didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bartolo Basualdo went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Edward Mcdonald took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Hermann Hesse to make any attempt to save it. 38 minutes into the match, Deportivo Popolizio FBC's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Hermann Hesse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Deportivo Popolizio FBC's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Hermann Hesse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cassius Byrne to make the kick off. Hermann Hesse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacob May, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 51st minute, Jacob May ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hermann Hesse was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. When Edward Mcdonald came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the USA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edward Mcdonald couldn't finish the play. Deportivo Popolizio FBC made a substitution. Erruki Velarroa replaced Torbjørn Trondsen. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Gaizkine Ibern was substituted for Nils Gielis. Hermann Hesse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassius Byrne in the 63rd minute of play. Hermann Hesse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Mcdonald, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tibor Nyilasi in the 69th minute of the match. Marco Day made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erruki Velarroa in the 70th minute. In the 79th minute of the match, Erruki Velarroa got a very nice opportunity to score, but Marco Day was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Hermann Hesse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 82nd minute, Tibor Nyilasi made a precise shot to the right of Marco Day. USA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. USA made a substitution. Marco Baker replaced Edward Mcdonald. USA made a substitution. Sam Campbell replaced Cassius Byrne. Diego Bradley got a throw-in 89 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Khalid Parry. In the 91st match minute, USA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Bradley to maneuver through the defense. When the referee ended the match the USA players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
