Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) C.F Intercity's Daniel Cazacu started the match with a crisp pass. Jeremie Van Nel guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In the 13th minute Daniel Cazacu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16thth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.F Intercity's Jeremie Van Nel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 17 minutes into the match, C.F Intercity's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Jeremie Van Nel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Daniel Cazacu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 21stth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.F Intercity's Jeremie Van Nel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. C.F Intercity's attentive Aarón Campos managed to snatch the ball when Camilo Gisbert made a throw-in in the 22nd minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Cazacu got free with Julio Vera in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jeremie Van Nel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Montenegro in the 33rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Daniel Cazacu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Daniel Cazacu did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Julio Vera 34 minutes into the match. 46 minutes into the match, C.F Intercity's Daniel Cazacu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 47th minute of the match C.F Intercity got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. C.F Intercity's Oscar Ortiz was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Camilo Gisbert made in the 52nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Luis Andino immediately put the ball in play. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremie Van Nel having to interfere. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 61 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Oscar Ortiz who took care of the corner kick. Jeremie Van Nel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. In the 84th minute, Olivar Ribeiro made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. After 88 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jeremie Van Nel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jeremie Van Nel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute.
