Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Sjötorp IF's Décio Rola started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Fagrell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 5 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 9 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Décio Rola came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roger Fagrell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute, Décio Rola made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Sjötorp IF were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Doni Muli took the corner. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Cristian Sancho hit a great ball. Sjötorp IF's Gunnar Ahlerot managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Luis Andino in the 26 minute of the game. After 27 minutes, Décio Rola made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Roger Fagrell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Saelices in the 32nd minute of play. Décio Rola's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Gunnar Ahlerot kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Sjötorp IF's Roger Fagrell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 45th minute of play. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 46th minute.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. After 50 minutes, Décio Rola mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sjötorp IF and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roger Fagrell made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Sjötorp IF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Ecuador's Agustín Saelices was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Roger Fagrell in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Sjötorp IF's Roger Fagrell got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Décio Rola in the 62nd minute of the match. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 66th minute of play forced Sjötorp IF's goalkeeper Roger Fagrell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Fagrell having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Décio Rola came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Primitivo Andino made in the 77th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Felix Montenegro. Roger Fagrell was a little too slow when Agustín Saelices got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 80th minute. The score was now 2-1. 83 minutes into the match, Sjötorp IF's goalkeeper Roger Fagrell had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Agustín Saelices. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Roger Fagrell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Décio Rola came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Sjötorp IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Décio Rola couldn't finish the play. Many of Ecuador's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ecuador may have spent more time on the ball, but Sjötorp IF were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
