Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tomas Illescas got the match started through his kick off. The Goiás Esporte Clube fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when Goiás Esporte Clube's Marcus Diniz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Umberto Peres showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 15 minute of play. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Venezuela's attentive Jose Correa managed to snatch the ball when Dong Xuan Xi made a throw-in in the 26th minute of the game. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Natanael Paraense was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Oswaldo Figueiredo struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Goiás Esporte Clube. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Marcus Diniz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 34 minute of play. The throw-in from Salvador Gisbert in the 37th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Goiás Esporte Clube's Dong Xuan Xi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Diniz in the 39th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Goiás Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mike Tyson didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Marcus Diniz took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Marcus Diniz made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Umberto Peres came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Umberto Peres in the 54th minute of play. Goiás Esporte Clube's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Valdir Neves in the 55th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Venezuela's goalie and right to Oswaldo Figueiredo. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Venezuela's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Marcus Diniz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. 62 minutes in the game Dong Xuan Xi did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Valdir Neves. In the 64th minute of the match Valdir Neves sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Goiás Esporte Clube booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Goiás Esporte Clube's Valdir Neves quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Joshua Secada, made in the 68th minute of the game. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcus Diniz in the 71st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina got a free kick in the 74th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Marcus Diniz came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Marcus Diniz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcus Diniz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Marcus Diniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 97 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Umberto Peres came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Goiás Esporte Clube had played much better football throughout.
