Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Larkins Potter started the match with the kick off. Elias Urdaspal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 6th minute of play. When Luis Andino came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Andino couldn't finish the play. In the 11th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Wara's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 12th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Luis Andino got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Elias Urdaspal quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 15 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elias Urdaspal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Elias Urdaspal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 19th minute of the match. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wara's goalkeeper Elias Urdaspal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Elias Urdaspal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Saelices in the 27th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Agustín Saelices ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elias Urdaspal was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 30th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Urdaspal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cheb El-Hadi ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 38 played minutes Wara got a freekick which was hit by Taha Rami. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. In the 46th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elias Urdaspal was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Primitivo Andino hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Elias Urdaspal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 63rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Larkins Potter in the 66th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th minute Larkins Potter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wara's goalkeeper Elias Urdaspal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Wara's Elias Urdaspal got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Daniel Zorita spun around in front of the goal 83 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Wara's goal. Agustín Saelices received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Elias Urdaspal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 87 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Elias Urdaspal came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 94th minute. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
