The Highway to Hell fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when Highway to Hell's Habib Al Zamel looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Habib Al Zamel came free with the goalkeeper in the 18th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ricardo Zorita could save by the left post. 21 minutes into the match, Highway to Hell's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Luque came free, but Panos Papadimos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 21 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Jesus Carvallo. With an all-out effort, Highway to Hell's Ricardo Zorita threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Habib Al Zamel, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 28 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Makis Kanatidis came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of El Salvador booed when Highway to Hell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefanos Koubaras didn't get a good kick on the ball. Panos Papadimos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Luque in the 33rd minute of play. The El Salvador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Habib Al Zamel got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 4-1 in the right cross in the 41st match minute before Ricardo Zorita had time to react. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fragiskos Koboropoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. 48 minutes into the game, Loukas Kavalekas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ricardo Zorita. Loukas Kavalekas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Moises Fernandino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ricardo Zorita came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Highway to Hell's Fragiskos Koboropoulos. But to his dismay, Fragiskos Koboropoulos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. 57 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Fragiskos Koboropoulos came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Habib Al Zamel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardo Zorita was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. In the 62nd match minute, Highway to Hell was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefanos Koubaras to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the El Salvador defense, Habib Al Zamel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricardo Zorita. The El Salvador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Zorita should have stopped the shot. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 8-1 when Habib Al Zamel sped through El Salvador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ricardo Zorita. Fragiskos Koboropoulos scored 9-1 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo Zorita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loukas Kavalekas in the 83rd minute of play. The El Salvador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Zorita should have stopped the shot. In the 98th minute Fragiskos Koboropoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that Highway to Hell were the better team. Highway to Hell's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
