AFC Koolkerke's Ulises Steven played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 20th minute of play. The supporters of Mexico booed when AFC Koolkerke was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joseph Smits didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulises Steven having to interfere. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Semi Acartürk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Robertinho Carabajal sent off a good shot on target. 25 minutes into the game, Robertinho Carabajal lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Dante Lacasa. In the 27th minute Semi Acartürk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute, Clóvis Bittencourt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Joseph Smits sent off a good shot on target. 37 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Clóvis Bittencourt came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Joseph Smits tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Joseph Smits sent off a good shot on target. Luca Rouco hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Clóvis Bittencourt in the 60th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Tafalla blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ulises Steven having to make a save. AFC Koolkerke were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after Mexico's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tang Di Nan took the corner. 72 minutes into the game, Joseph Smits cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Dante Lacasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ulises Steven made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 75th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robertinho Carabajal in the 79th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Semi Acartürk had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Semi Acartürk was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joseph Smits in the 87th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the game, Daevy Blaine was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AFC Koolkerke's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. A collision led to AFC Koolkerke getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Daevy Blaine hit a great ball. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulises Steven having to interfere. In the 94th minute of the match Tang Di Nan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dante Lacasa skillfully saved the ball. Clóvis Bittencourt kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. AFC Koolkerke's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
