In the 19thth minute of the game Sang Gama who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Lekko Spoceni fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Lekko Spoceni's Sang Gama looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 33 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Sang Gama came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Lekko Spoceni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaroslaw Wnukowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lekko Spoceni's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
