After the first half Palestine were leading 0-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-13. If Çınar Başkurt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Axel Tasis kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. The Palestine fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when Palestine's Çınar Başkurt looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-14 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Çınar Başkurt in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. 93 minutes into the match, Çınar Başkurt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Çınar Başkurt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-15.
