The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kamiel Ingelborgh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. After having played for 6 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Ad Fundum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manfred Bruse didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kamiel Ingelborgh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kamiel Ingelborgh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th match minute, Ad Fundum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre Van Beneden to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 28th minute by Tomás Baldaia got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Tran Vrolijcx who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kamiel Ingelborgh having to interfere. Kamiel Ingelborgh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Kamiel Ingelborgh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 44th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Ad Fundum's Tran Vrolijcx. But to his dismay, Tran Vrolijcx quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. A collision led to Ad Fundum getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Jarno Van Dyck hit a great ball. Kamiel Ingelborgh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute, Tomás Baldaia made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurel Cornea in the 70th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tran Vrolijcx in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Kamiel Ingelborgh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes into the game, Pierre-Paul Van Dijck was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ad Fundum's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. In the 82nd minute, Pierre-Paul Van Dijck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 83rd match minute, Ad Fundum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tran Vrolijcx to maneuver through the defense. Felix Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jordi Paschiers, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jordi Paschiers in the 90th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Many of Ecuador's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ecuador may have spent more time on the ball, but Ad Fundum were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
