The score was now 1-0. 高坤源 had several of the Venezuela's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 8 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Jonathan Ferrant as he didn't even see the shot coming. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 高坤源 in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when 高坤源 tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Dorian Linhares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Dorian Linhares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 27 minutes into the match, 高坤源 dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant, 4-0. In the 44th minute Pedro Luís do Valle suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Alex Chicote fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Alex Chicote a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Chicote to maneuver through the defense. Robbie Southgate stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 48th minute.

52 minutes into the game, Severo Dubardo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 高坤源 in the 55th minute of play. Robbie Southgate made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 57th minute. Independente F.C. Limeira were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Amador Quinten took the corner. The corner led Independente F.C. Limeira's Amador Quinten to fire away a dangerous shot which Jonathan Ferrant despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 高坤源 in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Dionisio Rik managed to get in a good position for a shot. Independente F.C. Limeira's supporters rose to their feet, but Dionisio Rik was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jorge Recife's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. In the 75th minute, Severo Dubardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Independente F.C. Limeira fans' excitement grew in the 81st match minute when Independente F.C. Limeira's 高坤源 looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 高坤源, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
