Mexico's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ludvig Ahlroht ran over to the corner to take the kick. After having played for 32 minutes, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paul Holmstedt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Mancebo came free with the goalkeeper in the 36th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Paul Holmstedt could save by the left post. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurt Lundin in the 38th minute of play. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Paul Holmstedt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Luca Zorita got a free kick in the 47th minute. In the 48th minute of the match Ludvig Ahlroht sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dante Lacasa skillfully saved the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Luca Zorita got a free kick in the 59th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 65th minute of play forced FC Pepsi's goalkeeper Paul Holmstedt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joshua Sammut Castelletti, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 87th match minute, FC Pepsi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joshua Sammut Castelletti to maneuver through the defense. FC Pepsi made a substitution. Kanu Kanu replaced Lv Yuan Kuan. Paul Holmstedt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 90th minute of the match. FC Pepsi's Paul Holmstedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 92nd minute of play. In the 94th minute of the match, Joshua Sammut Castelletti tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dante Lacasa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Holmstedt having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
