After a defensive mix-up in Pinocho Pelotari F.C.'s zone, Axel Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alejandro Terciero came out of the goal and Axel Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Olo in the 30th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Abram Sarmiento's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alejandro Terciero was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elpidio Mero in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Manzanares saved Colombia from getting behind. Through an outstanding action, after 58 minutes, Pedro Manzanares successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The supporters of Colombia booed when Pinocho Pelotari F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Lander didn't get a good kick on the ball.
