Fresta BK Väsby's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luca Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Axel Östlund having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Fresta BK Väsby's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Axel Östlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Axel Östlund in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Axel Östlund threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Axel Östlund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Fresta BK Väsby's goalkeeper Axel Östlund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Tafalla. Mikael Apelquist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. Axel Östlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 28th minute of play. With a little luck, Fresta BK Väsby's Axel Östlund got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Fresta BK Väsby's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Axel Östlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st play minute Lorenzo Cazalla came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Axel Östlund. 3-0. After having played for 44 minutes, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 46th minute, Henrik Biörnberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Lautaro Mancebo struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Axel Östlund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Alberto Tafalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Axel Östlund read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henning Nyman in the 56th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Fresta BK Väsby's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Axel Östlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Axel Östlund stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joel Gaona's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Patrik Öberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. In the 65th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Fresta BK Väsby's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Doyok Nahumarury during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Doyok Nahumarury hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Mexico's Joel Gaona couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 71st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Fresta BK Väsby. An unexpectedly hard shot by Facundo Cadaval in the 73rd minute of play forced Fresta BK Väsby's goalkeeper Axel Östlund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, Doyok Nahumarury hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Axel Östlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Axel Östlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 79 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fresta BK Väsby's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. Fresta BK Väsby's Axel Östlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 92nd minute of play. Henning Nyman came free with the goalkeeper in the 98th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dante Lacasa could save by the left post. There was no doubt that Mexico were the better team. Mexico's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
