An unexpectedly hard shot by Giannis Rammos in the 28th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Pyrgetos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Seco came free, but Omar Nicholas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Omar Nicholas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 41st minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 42 minutes, Joaquin Gayoso successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nikiforos Karnezakis to make the kick off. In the 50th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Beldad to maneuver through the defense. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giannis Rammos in the 57th minute of play. In the 60th minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omar Nicholas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nikiforos Karnezakis kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giannis Rammos in the 66th minute of play. In the 72nd minute Jaime Cazalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omar Nicholas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, Giannis Rammos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Giannis Rammos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. A collision led to Pyrgetos FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Giorgos Sferopoulos hit a great ball. Omar Nicholas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Seco in the 84th minute. Maximiliano Escribano kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Omar Nicholas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 95th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, Pyrgetos FC could leave the field as winners, despite Uruguay having more of the ball for most of the match.
