Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Axel Tasis kicked off to start the match. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alkaios Palatzas in the 7th minute of play. Nikiforos Karnezakis struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pyrgetos FC. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giannis Rammos in the 9th minute of play. After 11 minutes, Nikiforos Karnezakis made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 17 minutes into the game, Pyrgetos FC's Thomas Kakotaridis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Alkaios Palatzas kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikiforos Karnezakis in the 23rd minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giannis Rammos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Giannis Rammos came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Pyrgetos FC's Thomas Kakotaridis. But to his dismay, Thomas Kakotaridis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. In the 38th minute of the match Pyrgetos FC got a corner. Costa Rica's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Adamantios Fragakos ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Pyrgetos FC's Alkaios Palatzas to fire away a dangerous shot which Benito Sanz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 39th minute, Vaggelis Benakis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nikiforos Karnezakis took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. After the first half Pyrgetos FC were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Nikiforos Karnezakis made the kick off in the second half. Omar Nicholas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Tasis in the 54th minute of play. In the 56thth minute of the game Nikiforos Karnezakis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vaggelis Benakis. A hard shot 61 in the game by Nikiforos Karnezakis from a close distance when the talented Benito Sanz managed to make a qualified save. Costa Rica's players were relieved. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Aaron Alcocer hit a great ball. Nikiforos Karnezakis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Benito Sanz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Nikiforos Karnezakiss short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Benito Sanz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 66th minute Pyrgetos FC were awarded a corner. Adamantios Fragakos went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Pyrgetos FC's corner Adamantios Fragakos fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Benito Sanz quite easily take care of the ball. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Aaron Alcocer hit a great ball. After 72 minutes of play, Pyrgetos FC's Giannis Rammos made it 0-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Giannis Rammos did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-9 to the left of a surprised Benito Sanz 75 minutes into the match. 78 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Giannis Rammos came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Kakotaridis in the 81st minute of play. The supporters of Pyrgetos FC booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Rubio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute, Pyrgetos FC's Nikiforos Karnezakis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-10. The crowd rose to their feet as Giannis Rammos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benito Sanz. That made the score 0-11 in the 86 minute of play. Giannis Rammos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pyrgetos FC played a much better game than Costa Rica and deserved their victory. The Costa Rica players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
