Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vítor Baia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. If Eliseo Mina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Julian Murillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vítor Baia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Laurențiu Roşculeţ sent off a good shot on target. After 23 minutes Brugge United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. Vítor Baia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Guido Vissenaeken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vítor Baia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Mina, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Vítor Baia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Murillo's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Peru were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after Brugge United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. The corner led Peru's Alonso Berganza to a score. 0-1 in the 32nd minute. 35 minutes into the game, Herbert Pietrowicz threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Efraim Gilabert quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Vítor Baia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julian Murillo might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vítor Baia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Julian Murillo ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 46th minute of play forced Brugge United's goalkeeper Vítor Baia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Efraim Gilabert during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Efraim Gilabert kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After 49 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Efraim Gilabert. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnauld Van Impe in the 49th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julian Murillo made a kick off. Luz Tejedor took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vítor Baia. Vítor Baia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnauld Van Impe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Goffrey Sas in the 59th minute of play. The supporters of Peru booed when Brugge United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Goffrey Sas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute, Julian Murillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 62nd minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Baia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes into the game, Waud Huijbrechts was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brugge United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Peru the free kick. In the 67th match minute, Brugge United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waud Huijbrechts to maneuver through the defense. 69 minutes into the game, Julian Murillo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vítor Baia. Julian Murillo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. 82 minutes into the match, Milagros Fraga dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vítor Baia, 1-4. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Brugge United's Vítor Baia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Gallo in the 87th minute of play. After 88 minutes, Goffrey Sas made it 2-4 with a short kick to the right side. Peru's Rolando Noboa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Brugge United's Goffrey Sas. But to his dismay, Goffrey Sas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-4. Peru's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
