Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tomas Illescas took the kick off in the first half of the match. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Otoniel Mondragon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Loid Vrints got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 17 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Alex Chicote. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alex Chicote during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jonathan Ferrant went to the wrong direction when Matijs De Vlaeminck was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. If Stijn De Schepper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patricio Costa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Otoniel Mondragon having to make a save. 33 minutes into the match, Kaysersheim's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Otoniel Mondragon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Kaysersheim booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 40 played minutes Kaysersheim got a freekick which was hit by Olliver Pelsmaeker. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. After 44 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Gisbert. 46 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Otoniel Mondragon. Kaysersheim's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Illescas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After the first half Venezuela were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Loid Vrints made the kick off in the second half. Otoniel Mondragon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 53rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Loid Vrints managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kaysersheim's supporters rose to their feet, but Loid Vrints was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 55 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. 58 minutes into the game, Dimitri Wittemans was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kaysersheim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. In the 58th minute, Dimitri Wittemans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Otoniel Mondragon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Kaysersheim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stijn De Schepper didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Otoniel Mondragon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 68th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Otoniel Mondragon. Otoniel Mondragon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Otoniel Mondragon came out and tried to block the shot, but Tomas Illescas slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 73rd minute. After 76 minutes of play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Otoniel Mondragon was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Richmond Abrams had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Sam-Lucas Mertens came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Kaysersheim manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Venezuela to win.
