Bruno Barrett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juliusz Cerocki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Harvey Doyle charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Harvey Doyle the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Troy Kennedy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stanley Wallace could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Ignacy Brataniec made a huge save. Ignacy Brataniec made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stanley Wallace in the 26th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Damazy Kosmatka managed to get in a good position for a shot. Szymaniszki's supporters rose to their feet, but Damazy Kosmatka was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marshall Graham made a great header on Curacao's corner, it was just that Szymaniszki's Ignacy Brataniec managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Troy Kennedy in the 34th minute of play forced Szymaniszki's goalkeeper Ignacy Brataniec to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Curacao's Stanley Wallace got a free kick in the 46th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Damazy Kosmatka to strike the kick off in the second half. Olgierd Limanowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Barrett having to interfere. Damazy Kosmatka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Olgierd Limanowski fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Szymaniszki's protests and gave Olgierd Limanowski a yellow card for diving instead. When Juliusz Cerocki came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Szymaniszki fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juliusz Cerocki couldn't finish the play. Bruno Barrett made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Juliusz Cerocki sent off a good shot on target. 62 minutes into the match, Szymaniszki's goal looked a bit too open when Kyle Davies came free, but Ignacy Brataniec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th match minute, Szymaniszki was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olgierd Limanowski to maneuver through the defense. Juliusz Cerocki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Bruno Barrett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Damazy Kosmatka sped through Curacao's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bruno Barrett. Ignacy Brataniec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kyle Davies in the 77th minute of play. When Olgierd Limanowski was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 78 minutes had been played. After 79 played minutes Szymaniszki got a freekick which was hit by Olgierd Limanowski. When Juliusz Cerocki came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Szymaniszki fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juliusz Cerocki couldn't finish the play. In the 84th match minute, Szymaniszki was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zachary Naumowicz to maneuver through the defense. Kyle Davies was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 85th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Szymaniszki's Juliusz Cerocki got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Szymaniszki left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Curacao.
