Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manolis Karaiskakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Giannis Kazatzis kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 9th minute of the game Camilo Gisbert made a throw-in which Luis Andino played forward. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Giannis Kassianidis having to make a save. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giannis Kassianidis having to interfere. Giannis Kassianidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Giannis Kassianidis. AEK Lamia club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Giannis Kassianidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. AEK Lamia club's Giannis Kassianidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Primitivo Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Giannis Kazatzis might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Giannis Kazatzis ran back to his position shaking his head. AEK Lamia club's Giannis Kassianidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 38th minute of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viktoras Mavrakis in the 40th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Giannis Kassianidis saved AEK Lamia club from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Cristian Sancho put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Giannis Kassianidis. Giannis Kazatzis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after AEK Lamia club's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. 56 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Giannis Kassianidis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giannis Kassianidis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Giannis Kassianidis. Giannis Kassianidis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th match minute, AEK Lamia club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manolis Karaiskakis to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, AEK Lamia club's Miltos Skarbatonis got a free kick in the 81st minute. The throw-in from Camilo Gisbert in the 88th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by AEK Lamia club's Miltos Skarbatonis. Miltos Skarbatonis hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. The AEK Lamia club fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
