In the 4th minute, LUPI's Alex Abbagnale dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 7th minute Moises Fernandino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Orsini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abram Luque during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dario Albanesi hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Jorge Magrina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Bernardo Orsini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Luque in the 15th minute of play forced LUPI's goalkeeper Bernardo Orsini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21stth minute of the game Moises Fernandino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LUPI's Bernardo Orsini was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Mateo Leguizamo got a free kick in the 22nd minute. If Alex Abbagnale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Moises Fernandino came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the El Salvador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moises Fernandino couldn't finish the play. Ricardo Zorita made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Bianco Attili sent off a good shot on target. In the 30th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateo Leguizamo to maneuver through the defense. Dario Albanesi hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Bernardo Orsini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moises Fernandino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute of the match El Salvador got a corner. LUPI's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mateo Leguizamo ran over to the corner to take the kick. LUPI's Bernardo Orsini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moises Fernandino in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alex Abbagnale to make the kick off. Moises Fernandino had several of the LUPI's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 62 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Bernardo Orsini as he didn't even see the shot coming. Bernardo Orsini stood somewhat misplaced when Abram Luque came free in front of goal and shot 1-3 to the left of him in the 66 minute. Abram Luque struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. He walked away shaking his head. Alex Abbagnale took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. Abram Luque recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. El Salvador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
