Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edmundo Espiga started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Hugo Bakker made a precise shot to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Hugo Bakker took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Emanuel Ocampo got a free kick in the 11th minute. Freddy Sabin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, Hugo Bakker had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hugo Bakker was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Edmundo Espiga in the 21stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gaetano Mathieu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Moises Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaetano Mathieu having to interfere. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gregorio Martinez, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Resistencia's Gaetano Mathieu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Resistencia from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Sebastian Villa hit a great ball. 34 minutes into the match, Hugo Bakker had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lautaro Navarro. In the 38th minute Freddy Sabin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hugo Bakker in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lautaro Navarro saved Honduras from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddy Sabin in the 42nd minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Resistencia were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Freddy Sabin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Freddy Sabin in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lautaro Navarro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 63rd minute, Resistencia's Hugo Bakker ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. Jacek Dudzik made in the 72nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Sebastian Villa. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Bakker in the 73rd minute of play. In the 77th minute, Freddy Sabin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Resistencia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. In the 80th minute, Ivan Navarro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddy Sabin, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddy Sabin in the 87th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Freddy Sabin came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gaetano Mathieu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Noureddine Fillali's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Noureddine Fillali helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Resistencia getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Noureddine Fillali hit a great ball. The Resistencia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Resistencia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
