Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Geirhvatur Ómarsson got the match started through his kick off. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Geirhvatur Ómarsson in the 2nd minute. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Claudio Patricelli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Thanks to some nice moves Geirhvatur Ómarsson could shoot a difficult shot in the 7th minute, which Julio Vera however easily saved by the left post. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Claudio Patricelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Claudio Patricelli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 20th minute of play forced Balla 1926 fc's goalkeeper Claudio Patricelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claudio Patricelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Balla 1926 fc's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Luis Andino got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 0-2. 29 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudio Patricelli having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Alfonso Ciolli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Balla 1926 fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfonso Ciolli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Balla 1926 fc's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudio Patricelli came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Balla 1926 fc players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-2.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Balla 1926 fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfonso Ciolli to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Sancho's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Claudio Patricelli firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 56th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Balla 1926 fc's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geirhvatur Ómarsson in the 61st minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, Geirhvatur Ómarsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Geirhvatur Ómarsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Claudio Patricelli made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Luis Andino sent off a good shot on target. 73 minutes into the match, Balla 1926 fc's goalkeeper Claudio Patricelli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfonso Ciolli during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 78th match minute, Balla 1926 fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfonso Ciolli to maneuver through the defense. Balla 1926 fc's Claudio Patricelli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Balla 1926 fc from getting a goal against them. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 82nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Claudio Patricelli could save by the left post. In the 86th match minute, Balla 1926 fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anthony Serantoni to maneuver through the defense. Claudio Patricelli made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radoslaw Debowski in the 90th minute of play. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Balla 1926 fc's Geirhvatur Ómarsson. But to his dismay, Geirhvatur Ómarsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2.
