Samir Uzhan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 4th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Güntekin Adılhan. ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Daniel Zorita sped through ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Güntekin Adılhan. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Güntekin Adılhan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Güntekin Adılhan came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Güntekin Adılhan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 25th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Cubilla got free with Julio Vera in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luís Cubilla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. In the 28th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Güntekin Adılhan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 33rd minute of play forced ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ's goalkeeper Güntekin Adılhan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner ended in Robert Budrewicz almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Cubilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Cubilla in the 58th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ's goalkeeper Güntekin Adılhan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Felix Montenegros short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Güntekin Adılhan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With his leg Güntekin Adılhan managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when Ecuador's Felix Montenegro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 72 minutes, Luís Cubilla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Cubilla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 74 minutes into the game, Luís Cubilla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Baykal Gulabi hit a great ball. A sloppy throw-in by Primitivo Andino in the 81st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ's Samir Uzhan. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Cubilla, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Güntekin Adılhan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cristian Sancho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 85 minute of play. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luís Cubilla went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. In the 95th minute, Luís Cubilla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-3.
