A sloppy throw-in by Luís Amorim in the 16th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Š¢σяpiσиŠ's goalkeeper Emílio Cordeiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Peru's Julian Murillo in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erasmo Yeste to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Julian Murillo could shoot a difficult shot in the 52nd minute, which Emílio Cordeiro however easily saved by the left post. Luís Amorim hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Š¢σяpiσиŠ made a substitution. Zula Puch replaced Peiter Mora. After a rather tough play, Š¢σяpiσиŠ's Meriç Nurkan got a free kick in the 57th minute. Peru's attentive Eliseo Mina managed to snatch the ball when Luís Amorim made a throw-in in the 60th minute of the game. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Emílio Cordeiro made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erasmo Yeste in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emílio Cordeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 67th minute of the match. Š¢σяpiσиŠ's Emílio Cordeiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Š¢σяpiσиŠ from getting a goal against them. In the 72nd minute, Peru's Milagros Fraga dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Š¢σяpiσиŠ made a substitution. Emílio Cordeiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. In the 88th minute of the match, Antonio Tenorio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Emílio Cordeiro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Emílio Cordeiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rafael Gallo in the 91st minute.
