Julian Murillo started the match with the kick off. Egun Zapico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milagros Fraga in the 10th minute of play. Mehmet Hakkı Kuthan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 11thth minute, Rolando Noboa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. After having played for 29 minutes, Luz Tejedor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luz Tejedor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 32nd minute, ṨOḰᾋḰ ĿᾋṂϐᾋṨἿ ™ﻨ's Burak Orkan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Egun Zapico took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mehmet Hakkı Kuthan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 38thth minute tested the skills of Rolando Noboa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Egun Zapico stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luz Tejedor's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 41st minute. The corner led to Peru's Alonso Berganza getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Peru fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 44th minute. Penalty!

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Burak Orkan to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, ṨOḰᾋḰ ĿᾋṂϐᾋṨἿ ™ﻨ's Birant Soysaldı got a free kick in the 51st minute. Egun Zapico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 68 minutes into the match, ṨOḰᾋḰ ĿᾋṂϐᾋṨἿ ™ﻨ's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Egun Zapico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by ṨOḰᾋḰ ĿᾋṂϐᾋṨἿ ™ﻨ's Mehmet Hakkı Kuthan. But to his dismay, Mehmet Hakkı Kuthan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. ṨOḰᾋḰ ĿᾋṂϐᾋṨἿ ™ﻨ's Estevão Reis was substituted for Mehmet Hakkı Kuthan. ṨOḰᾋḰ ĿᾋṂϐᾋṨἿ ™ﻨ's Sultan Yasin was substituted for Burak Orkan. Boğaç Çelikoz hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 82nd minute, Estevão Reis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolando Noboa was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. In the 89th minute Antonio Tenorio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egun Zapico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Egun Zapico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Tenorio in the 92nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle.
